CERT Classes
CERT Classes
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) course is a 20-hour program that trains people to be better prepared for response to emergency situations in their communities. When emergencies happen, CERT members can give critical support to first responders, provide immediate assistance to victims, and organize spontaneous volunteers at a disaster site. CERT members can also help with non-emergency projects that help improve the safety of the community.

If you would like to register for the program, or request additional information, please email Anita Leming at aleming@cobbcounty.org, by phone at 770-499-4567, or sign up at http://ema.cobbcountyga.gov/cert-form.htm

Graduates receive a gear bag with a medical kit, water & gas keys, safety gear, tools and other equipment. The class is free! Post-training, Legacy Park residents are forming a special team called a Neighborhood CERT (NCERT) for responding to emergencies within our community.
