Legacy Park Coach Pitch  - Spring 2008

March 1 – Registration ends

March 15 – First game

May 10— Last game (all 9 games on Saturday afternoons)

May 11 (rain date May 17)— Party at Amphitheater

This season allows for nine actual games. Games will all be played on Saturday afternoons and last about an hour and a half. Frequency, date and time of practices will be at each team’s discretion. 

Target age group is 6-8 year olds (exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis for “advanced 5½ years olds”).

Team size is approximately 6-7 kids.  We understand that many kids will be returning from last season and want to be on the same team.  We will make every attempt to accommodate these requests – just be sure to indicate it on the registration form.

The cost for registration is $40 (late registration add $10).  The money pays for a shirt, hat, pants and trophy for each child as well as purchasing/replenishing the league’s equipment, upkeep/upgrade of the field and shirts for coaches.  Team shirts and hats will be ordered as soon as the teams are divided.  The goal will be to have them by the first game.  Each child will need to bring his/her own glove.  Registration will be online only this year.  You may also pay your fees with PayPal.

There will be a trophy presentation at the end of the season.  Team and individual pictures will be taken during the season.  Further information will follow regarding each of these events.

We require 3-4 coaches per team.  PLEASE volunteer to save us from having to recruit coaches.  The reward far outweighs the work!!
