What is the Legacy Park Woman’s Club?
Legacy Park Woman’s Club was founded in 1997 by women who wished to carry out community improvement through volunteer service. The club is independent, non-political and non-sectarian. Members are asked to participate in one service project a month, donating at least one hour of their time.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Legacy Park Woman’s Club is fun, friendship and good works through:

Support and Volunteerism at Legacy Park Activities and Events.

Support and Volunteerism for community charities – DFACS, Relay for Life, Food Banks and other worthy organizations we may choose to support.

Participation in Social/ Leisure Activities – luncheons, movies, plays, home tours, book clubs, etc.
What kinds of projects are they involved in?
The LPWC is presently involved in multiple community service areas. All members are encouraged to help coordinate and participate in any or all of the activities.
Battered Women’s Shelter – Ongoing collection of professional women’s clothing, jewelry and new make-up, for women residing at the shelter to use while interviewing for job placement.
Kennesaw Food Pantry – Ongoing collection of canned food items to donate to the community food pantry.
Raffles at Legacy Park Activities – Proceeds got to charities such as the Christmas Wish Lists for Cobb County Senior Citizens though DFACS, for the purchase of personal items for U. S. soldiers in Iraq and and support of the Georgia Special Olympics through the Kennesaw Police Dept.
Relay For Life – annual participation in the Breast Cancer Relay for Life, sponsored by the American Cancer Society.
Support of and involvement in the Legacy Park Activities Committee.
