| At the May 2006 Board of Directors meeting, the board approved a motion to move forward with conducting a telephone survey of the community regarding the desire for a clubhouse in Legacy Park. The purpose of the survey is to hopefully bring some finality to the question of whether to build a clubhouse or not, which has been an issue in the community for many years, and to give guidance to the Board in its future decision-making. After extensive discussions, the survey questions were narrowed down to include the clubhouse issue and the possibility of a water park or water features added in Legacy Park.
Last year, a Survey Committee did research on determining the most efficient, scientific and unbiased manner in which to conduct a survey of the community, and found an independent firm that was capable of conducting the survey. This year the Board contracted with the independent firm to conduct a survey in a manner consistent with industry standards for this type of information gathering. The survey consisted of contacting 389 households in Legacy Park and asking the same two questions.

As stated above, the Board will utilize the survey, as well as costs of construction, availability of funds, and other factors in making future decisions regarding a clubhouse, a water park and other existing or future amenities. No decisions have yet been made, and the Board will be discussing these matters at its regular meetings. |
