Hello to all Legacy Park Swimmers!

Swim team is ON! The Legacy Park Sharks are in their second season of the GOLD DIVISION. This is the highest division within the Cobb County. We are so proud of our swimmers and our swimming "Legacy." Here are some updates for the 2008 Swim Season:

• Registration will now take place on-line. http://www.legacypark.org/shark_swim_team_registration.php
• Fees are as follows- Residents-$75.00 for first child and $50.00 for each additional child. Non-residents- $95.00 for the first child and $70.00 for each additional child. Non-residents- Please understand that you may not be guaranteed a spot on the team until registration is complete. We are limited as to the number of non-residents we may accept.
• Payments are to be dropped off at the Legacy Park Homeowners Association by March 31. After March 31 please add $20.00 for a late fee. Payments not received by April 15 will result in the child(ren) being dropped from the roster . Please make checks payable to: Legacy Park Swim Team
• If there are financial issues which might preclude you from registering before March 31, please e-mail the ST Committee. We are willing to work around difficulties if you can just let us know. Any financial information will be kept in confidence.
• Registration will be cut off as of May 1. Our roster will need to be submitted earlier to Cobb County . Returning swimmers must register before March 31 to avoid a $20.00 late registration fee . We must have an accurate number of swimmers to order ribbons, t-shirts, caps and trophies.
• If your child will be on vacation, at summer camp, visiting grandma and grandpa during the swim season, great! However, like all other city, county and school leagues, we do not discount for any missed practices or meets.
• Swim Suit Try-On's are TBD. Please note, if you buy a suit and your child(ren) decide not to swim, swim suits are non-refundable. We will do all we can to assist you in selling your suit to another family, but cannot make any guarantees.
• We hope to have volunteer sheets available for sign up on-line. We will let you know when this is posted.
• Our swim meets will me on Thursday, beginning May 29.
• We are pleased to announce that Sarah Schoeff will be our Head Coach for the Summer 2008 Season. We are so excited to have Sarah join us at Legacy Park. Sara grew up in Kennesaw. She has been swimming competitively since the age of six, first with Tsunami Summer League, then Tidal Wave Swim Team, and Marietta High School. She is now swimming collegiately with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. She was a four year letter winner and team captain of her high school swim team her junior and senior seasons. She received the Most Valuable Teammate award her sophomore, junior and senior season. She holds team records in the 50 free, 100 free, and 100 back. She received the USS Academic All-American award 2006 and 2007. She has been a Georgia All-Star the last ten years, and is an eleven time state champion in both summer league and USS swimming. This season at Georgia Tech, Sarah competed at the ACC

Championship meet in the 50 free, 100 free, and 100 back. She is majoring in Science, Technology and Culture, and plans to work in the broadcasting field when she graduates.
