The HOA has been working with Cobb County Board of Elections for quite some time to get a polling location in Legacy Park. With the completion of the clubhouse, there is now a facility available that is large enough to utilize for a voting location.

Legacy Park is separated into two precincts, with Proctor Creek being the divider. Unfortunately, only one precinct is currently scheduled to be moved to the Clubhouse, Kennesaw 5B. The polling location for this precinct is currently at the Henssler Financial Group building. Cobb Elections made the determination on which precinct to move into the Clubhouse, based on location, access, parking and the number of people registered to vote at each location. Precinct 5B met the facility size requirements. Cobb Elections is moving forward with the recommendation, but it is NOT final at this time. As soon as the HOA knows that the polling location has changed, we will post this information and the registered voters will receive a notice in the mail from the Secretary of State.

If the precinct map lines are redrawn in the future, the HOA will work with the State Legislature in attempting to move all of Legacy Park into one voting precinct and have the clubhouse as the polling location. Of course, there are no guarantees that this will happen.
