Michael Altman – Annandale
My family and I thoroughly enjoy living in our magnificent Legacy Park home. We are passionate about the active, friendly and beautiful Legacy Park community. God, family and country point the way on our ethical and moral compasses. Personally, I was honored to serve our country for 24 years in the United States Army. During that period, I operated as a 91 Bravo ground-pounder during the Vietnam era, eventually transitioned to become a combat field medic/licensed EMT and completed my military career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Following my honorable retirement in 2004, I earned a Bachelor of Administration in Accounting from KSU and inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society.

Why run for the board?
• First, I have always possessed a genuine desire to serve others. Accordingly, I would embrace an opportunity to be an advocate for my Legacy Park neighbors and the Legacy Park community. Additionally, being retired I have the time and energy to give back to this amazing community. Bottom line, I made a thoughtful decision to employ my experience and knowledge to help make a difference for this community through positive contributions.
• Second, one of the primary purposes of the Board is to ensure the equity in our homes is protected and significantly multiples annually. To accomplish this goal, I fully believe that our tennis courts, pools, sports programs and activities, which constitute our signature amenities, must be fully supported. Furthermore, I will give special attention to and vote to support Legacy Park activities, sports program and amenities that add family value and provide a positive environmental impact for our children. • Third, I will put my management and accounting experience to work. I believe the Board must evaluate our short and long-term strategic planning goals to ensure each dollar is disbursed wisely and benefits the entire community. Furthermore, I fully support the continued integration with the Kennesaw/Acworth communities, increasing our security profile, especially our relationship with the Kennesaw Police Department, strictly enforcing the Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions and the continued maintenance and improvements to our currently existing amenities.
• Fourth, I sincerely believe Legacy Park’s finances should be transparent, readily available to every member and based on established guidelines. Moreover, increasing our annual assessments based on fuzzy logic such as, just because or, the members need to get used to annual assessments, is not a valid budgeted necessity. I will not support assessment increases unless budget projections require an assessment increase.

Constructive communication is a critical element of a successful board. Debate fosters fresh perspectives and positive solutions. Good corporate governance must flow from the members to the Board and consider the concerns of every Legacy Park member. If, you honor me with an opportunity to serve this great community I pledge your faith and trust will be honored and respected. I have been and hope to continue being, the Board member who represents you, your loved ones and this outstanding community
