|Hi Legacy Park Residents! The moment we all have been waiting for! The Board of Directors approved the opening of most of our amenities effective Saturday, May 16th. As you can imagine, in order to follow the State mandated guidelines, regarding sanitation and social distancing, we have issued new rules relating to the amenity usage. The following amenities will be open daily beginning Saturday, May 16th from 9 am – 9 pm: Tennis Courts, Swimming Pools, Baseball Field, Volleyball Court, Town Green, Walking Trails, Amphitheater, Bandstand, and Picnic Grove. The Gym, Basketball Court, Neighborhood Playgrounds, and Clubhouse will remain closed, as social distancing is problematic at these locations. Nevertheless, the Board will continue to monitor the situation and will immediately notify the community if any changes are warranted. The HOA office will be opening for visitors later this month. We will announce the date ASAP. When we do open, we will limit the number of people who can be in the office at one time, as the space is very limited. In the meantime, continue to call and email us! The HOA is providing cleaning stations at the open amenities so users can wipe down any areas touched. The HOA appreciates that residents will continue to adhere to all social distancing guidelines and will avoid assembling in groups. The Board reserves the right to close some or all the amenities if the rules put into place are not followed. At this time, the open amenities are for the usage of residents only, until such time as the State of Georgia removes restrictions and limitations on Gatherings, as set forth in the current Executive Order 05.12.20.02. CLICK HERE for revised Amenity Rules & Regulations. General rules for common property usage are: Users who are not members of the same household must remain 6 feet apart. You are NOT permitted to enter or use the amenities if you are sick or have experienced any of the following in the past 14 days: diagnosed with COVID-19, exhibited symptoms of Covid-19, or other flu-like symptoms, including fever, cough or shortness of breath, or been in contact with a person that has or is suspected to have COVID-19. The Legacy Park Community Association does not warrant, represent or guarantee that the amenities are safe to use. Users assume all risks and remain solely responsible for ensuring their own safety and well-being. Covid-19 is a challenging disease and it may be spread in ways that are not yet known. The Association is not responsible for any illnesses contracted due to use of the amenities. The HOA reserves the right to shut down some or all of the amenities if the safety protocols and social distancing requirements are not being followed. Board and staff will continue monitor the events on a daily basis and revisit any changes that maybe warranted. Please understand that Board takes this matter serious, as the health and overall well-being of our community is the top priority. Thank you for your patience and understanding this time of ever-changing information! |
Swimming Pools The Georgia Department of Public Health has published facility mitigation measures to reduce the exposure risks among swimmers and patrons. Included in the guidelines are requirements for pool operators to modify the layout of the facility to promote social distancing. This includes having a deck layout to ensure that the standing and seating areas are aligned so that individuals can remain at least 6 feet apart from those they don’t live with. In addition, the layout cannot impede the four foot of unstructured decking required around the pool perimeter for emergency rescue. Additionally, no organized events or classes are permitted. Nautix has been working towards this goal all spring and they are ready to introduce the “Nautix R & R Program” plan for the pools. This program is a general best practice for communities who want to continue to do as much as possible to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. The Nautix R & R program addresses many of the most common preventative actions recommended by the CDC, and current Executive Orders. The pools will be open 9 am – 9 pm and Nautix will be on duty during those hours. There will be no time when the pools are open and guards are not present, until further notice. While we certainly understand that this will be a challenging program for a community the size of Legacy Park, it is a great way to ensure that residents can enjoy some pool time, while following the mandated guidelines. Again, the Board will continue to monitor the situation and will immediately notify the community if any changes are warranted. What does this mean to you? Make sure the HOA has your email address, as it is necessary to make a reservation. All residents can register on our website: https://www.legacypark.org/registration. The HOA will be sending out an email to the homes that we currently have email addresses for. While many residents provide multiple email addresses, only one email address will receive the invitation to reserve a spot at the pool.
Tennis Courts Users will need to utilize “Reserve My Court” to use the tennis courts. If you do not currently have access, go to https://www.reservemycourt.com/ and residents in good standing will be approved. One gate to each set of courts will be open. At each gate and the lower level of the Tennis Pavilion is a sanitation station with paper towels and sanitizing spray. Each user is required to wipe down any area touched and immediately discard any used paper towels in the trash bins. Periodically throughout the day, a staff member with Nautix will complete a thorough sanitation process on each court. The upper level of the Tennis Pavilion will remain closed at this time to discourage large gatherings. Please be mindful that no social activity is permitted at this time, including no congregating after play and to leave the facilities when you are doing playing. USTA has provided a set of guidelines that the HOA recommends all players review: Tennis Safety & Covid-19
Baseball Field, Volleyball Court & Green Space Areas All green spaces will be open for usage. On the baseball field, the gate closest to the volleyball court will be open. A sanitation station is located in that area and users are required to wipe down any areas touched and immediately discard the paper towel in the trash can. No organized sports are permitted at this time. Please be mindful that no large groups are permitted as well.
